One Southeast Asian Box Turtle (๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ด๐ช๐ด) was turned over to the PCSDS Wildlife Enforcers by Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park Site Manager Mrs. Angelique Songco of Brgy. Bancao-Bancao, Puerto Princesa City last August 22, 2021.
Said turtle, listed as โEndangered Species’ ‘ under PCSD Resolution No. 15-521, was reportedly found by Mrs. Songco at the Island Divers Venture, Manalo Extension, Brgy. Bancao Bancao. She later reported it to the wildlife enforcers, who then responded at around 1:50 PM.
The turtleโs carapace was recorded to be 18cm long and 17.5 cm wide, and has a plastron of 15.5 cm. It was thereafter retrieved at 1:55 PM and was brought to the PCSD office for proper disposition.
