Tubbataha Park Manager turns over one Southeast Asian Box Turtle to PCSDS

One Southeast Asian Box Turtle (๐˜Š๐˜ถ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ข ๐˜ข๐˜ฎ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฐ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ด) was turned over to the PCSDS Wildlife Enforcers by Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park Site Manager Mrs. Angelique Songco of Brgy. Bancao-Bancao, Puerto Princesa City last August 22, 2021.

Said turtle, listed as โ€œEndangered Species’ ‘ under PCSD Resolution No. 15-521, was reportedly found by Mrs. Songco at the Island Divers Venture, Manalo Extension, Brgy. Bancao Bancao. She later reported it to the wildlife enforcers, who then responded at around 1:50 PM.

The turtleโ€™s carapace was recorded to be 18cm long and 17.5 cm wide, and has a plastron of 15.5 cm. It was thereafter retrieved at 1:55 PM and was brought to the PCSD office for proper disposition.
