The PCSDS Enforcement Team confiscated three (3) chainsaw units in Rampano Road, Barangay Sicsican, Puerto Princesa City, on November 28, 2021.
Based on the apprehending team’s report, two (2) chainsaw units were confiscated by the team from three (3) individuals who were caught in the act of illegally cutting down trees in Rampano Road, Barangay Sicsican. The said individuals failed to present any valid documents authorizing their possession and use of the said units.
On the same day, another chainsaw unit was confiscated by the team from two (2) individuals who were also caught illegally operating the said unit in the same barangay.
The Enforcement Team’s report revealed that said individuals were also not able to present any permit allowing them to possess and use the said chainsaw unit.
Criminal and/or administrative charges will be filed against the said persons for violating R.A. 9175 or the “Chainsaw Act of 2002”.
