The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff conducted an SEP IEC Caravan for the officials, members and staff of the LGU-Kalayaan held at the Kalayaan Extension Office, Sta. Monica, Puerto Princesa City. The IEC campaign tackled the legislations and mandates of the PCSD as well as the mainstreaming of Gender and Development: Women’s Role in Development and awareness regarding the climate change in Palawan.
The IEC campaign was attended by municipal mayor, Hon. Roberto M. Del Mundo, municipal vice-mayor, Hon. Hermoso A. Ornopia, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan. The participants shared their environmental ordinances in the municipality of Kalayaan as well as their practices in ensuring a sustainable development.
The IEC campaign was conducted as part of a year-long celebration of 25th year anniversary of the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan.
