The PCSDS Wildlife Enforcement Unit, together with the Naval Intelligence Security Group West (NISGW), confiscated 577 board feet of assorted Ipil lumbers in Sitio Tagawtawan, Bunog, Rizal, Palawan, on September 19, 2022.
Said seized lumbers were turned over to MENRO-Rizal through Office Head Ms. Jenel Joy C. Torres at around 2:00 PM on September 20, 2022.
The PCSDS warns the public that unlawful or illegal possession of wildlife species, both flora, and fauna, is prohibited and punishable under the Republic Act No. 9147 or the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act.
