The PCSDS, represented by Atty. Che Ann Mae Flores on behalf of Acting Executive Director Niño Rey C. Estoya took part in the Barangay Environment, Agriculture and Nutrition Scholar (BEANS) Conference of Palawan last 24 November 2022 at the Skylight Convention Center, Puerto Princesa City.
Hosted by the Liga ng mga Barangay-Palawan Chapter and in partnership with the Provincial Nutrition Office, the conference aimed to discuss the role of BEANS in the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2023-2028.
Atty. Flores gave a presentation on Nutrition and the Environment which focused on the Environmental Effects of Agriculture and Food Production and Approaches to Harmonize Food Security and Environmental Protection.
More than 1,000 Barangay Nutrition Scholars from different municipalities joined the program.
