Pressing exploitative fishing malpractices and beliefs continue to alarm the international community of its repercussions on the marine biodiversity of the planet in the long-haul, in light of the huge dependence of many living things on marine resources for sustainable living.

In the 6th year celebration of “International Day for the fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated Fishing,” the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) joins the rest of the globe in raising awareness and in galvanizing the different sectors of the society to blow the whistle and contribute in the efforts to monitor and institutionalize adaptable regulations on safe fishing practices in line with international standards and norms.
