The PCSDS, through the District Management Division (DMD)-Calamian, together with partner agencies, zealously participated in a Tree Planting Activity in the municipality of Busuanga today, June 10, 2022. This event was carried out to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan Act, or SEP Law.
Representatives from Busuanga Local Government Unit-Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), Barangay LGU, Calamianes Resilience Network, DepEd-Busuanga, DENR-CENRO Coron, and the Philippine Coastguard auxiliary took part in the tree planting activity, which was held in a watershed area in Sitio Bangkal, Barangay Salvacion, Busuanga, Palawan.
In working towards achieving sustainable development, the collective efforts of Palawan’s local government units, sectors, and agencies give hope that future generations will still be able to enjoy and benefit from the province’s rich ecosystem and biodiversity if we work together to preserve and conserve them now.
