PCSDS participates in the Civic Grand Parade for the 19th Balayong Festival and 151st Founding Anniversary of PPC

The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff led by Acting Executive Director Niño Rey C. Estoya, earlier joined the Civic Grand Parade in connection with the celebration of the 19th Balayong Festival and the 151st Founding Anniversary of Puerto Princesa City.

Thronging the streets of Rizal Avenue for the 8-am Civic Grand Parade was PCSDS along with other participants from both the private and public sectors in the City, in a jubilant march towards the PPC Baywalk for the culmination of the activity.

Supervised by the City Government of Puerto Princesa led by Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, it was part of the activities lined up for this year’s Balayong Festival which also celebrates the 151st year of the City since its establishment on March 4, 1972.

PCSDS has always been supportive of the Balayong Festival since it started in 2005, as the festival also celebrates the importance of Balayong Trees, or locally known as Palawan Cherry, only endemic in the province of Palawan.
