PCSDS participates in the Knowledge Exchange on Water Security Strategies

To deepen the understanding of and adopt strategies to achieve water security in the Philippines, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) via Zoom participated in the Knowledge Exchange on Water Security Strategies, November 17.

The conference provided avenues for the participants to glean wisdom and inspiration from Israel’s experience in surpassing its water crisis through efficient engineering tools and tactics.

Discussed in the event were Water Management: Revisiting the laws governing water in PH; Unpacking the Philippine Water Security and its Impact; State Of Israel Experience; Israeli Innovation Showcase; and Managing Water Scarcity: The Provider’s and Regulator’s Perspectives.

As part of the Philippine Water Challenge, the event also emphasized the importance of becoming Smarter for Water by learning about Innovations and Solutions to Water Scarcity.

Also participated by other local government units and stakeholders, the event was made possible through the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Philippines, in collaboration with MASHAV and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Safe Water Project.
