On July 27, 2024, staff from the PCSDS-Legal Services Section participated in a tree planting activity in Barangay Montible, Puerto Princesa City, in celebration of Probation Month. The event was held in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-PENRO, the Chief Probation and Parole Officer (CPPO), and the City Government of Puerto Princesa.
During the event, PENRO Felizardo Cayatoc provided an introduction to the National Greening Program of the DENR. He also discussed the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the CPPO, DENR, and the City Government of Puerto Princesa, which was established to address concerns about insufficient planting sites and a lack of seedlings for probationers.
This tree planting activity was the third part of the Seminar-Workshop on Probation and Community Service, and was organized by the Puerto Princesa City Green Justice Zone (PPCGJZ).
