Living in homes near coastal areas, the lifestyles of most students in Bucana Matahimik High School are deeply intertwined with the ocean. The PCSD Staff took the opportunity to visit their school and bring to them the “Batang Palaweno, Batang Makakalikasan” Campaign.
Speakers and Grade 10 students had a discourse on the ecological principles and the pressing conservation challenges of their time, especially those that concern health and environment. They were taught the hazards of plastic pollution and how they can help alleviate the problem. After identifying endangered species of wildlife that can still be found in their community, they were taught how to help any wildlife in need of help by calling PCSD Enforcement Team.
