As part of the celebration of the Philippine’s Fire Prevention Month, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) conducted a Fire Safety Orientation and Fire Drill Activity at the PCSD Main Office yesterday, March 22, 2023.
Bureau of Fire Protection Chief Rescue Unit & Team Supervisor SFO1 Ruel P. Tabang lectured about the composition and triggers of fires, the gravity and extent of its damage and scope, and the appropriate ways on how to prevent and extinguish them. Furthermore, he also shared his notable experiences as a fireman in dealing with fires.
SFO1 Tabang also led in a fire-drill activity on PCSD grounds after his lecture, with the assistance of Fire Aide (FA) Bryan A. Aguilar, where PCSDS was given first-hand experience in using fire extinguishers.
PCSDS Acting Administrative and Finance Division Chief Rahman S. Ropeta also encouraged the PCSDS to apply and use their takeaways from the fire safety lecture-and-drill, not just in the office but also in their day-to-day living.
