PCSD RESOLUTION NO. 95-82
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PUERTO PRINCESA AND/OR THE DEPRTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES TO DONATE/ALLOCATE TO THE PALAWAN COUNCIL FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT A PORTION OF LOT NO. 41-97 CAD 800 LOCATED ALONG THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PCSD STAFF BUILDING AND OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, R.A 7611, otherwise known as the Strategic Environmental Plan (SEP) for Palawan, which took effect on 19 June 1992, provides for the creation of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) and its Staff;
WHEREAS, since the inception of the PCSD and its Staff, there is no permanent site for the said office;
WHEREAS, it is but essential that the PCSD, more importantly its Staff, shall have permanent Office site to locate its building and based its operation;
WHEREAS, a certain portion of lot No. 41-97 CAD 800. approximately two hectares located along the south bound within that City Government Center but part of the Reservation of the Ecosystem Research and Development Bureau (formerly Forest Research Institute of FORI) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), was identified as ideal for the aforecited purposes;
NOW THEREFORE, upon unanimous motion by all the members of the Council present, the Council;
RESOLVED, as it hereby resolved that the Council request as it hereby request, the City Government of Puerto Princesa and/or the DENR to donate/allocate the abovecited area to the PCSD for the construction of the building of the PCSD Staff and other purposes;
RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be sent to honorable city Mayor Edward S. Hagedorn, Honorable Sec. Angel C. Alcala to the DENR, and other concerned agencies and local government units for their information consideration and appropriate action;
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of February, 1995 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
