RESOLUTION EXTENDING FOR ANOTHER YEAR THE TERM OF OFFICE OF NON-REGULAR MEMBERS OF THE PALAWAN COUNCIL FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

WHEREAS, as provided for in Section 16 of R.A. 7611, the mandated members of the Palawan Council For Sustainable Development are empowered to choose additional members from the private and public sectors to sit in the Council;

WHEREAS, representatives from the legal sector, tribal communities, non-government organizations, military sector and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan were elected for one term each to end after one year from the date of assumption of office;

WHEREAS, the term of office of the aforecited members will end in October 1993 except for the representative of the tribal communities whose term expires in November 1993;

WHEREAS, the mandated members of the Council strongly believe that the non-regular representatives have fully supported the policies and thrusts of R.A 7611;

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion by Mayor Wenceslao delas Alas and duly seconded, the Palawan Council For Sustainable Development resolves to extend for another yeas the term of office of said representatives as hereinunder enumarated;

1. Rear Admiral Pio H. Garrido of the Western Command-AFP representing the military sector
   Term of office extended to 1 October 1994
2. Hon. Joel T. Reyes, presiding officer and representatives of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan
   Term of office extended to 1 October 1994
3. Atty. Teodoro Q. Pena of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Palawan Chapter, representing the legal sector
   Term of office extended to 25 October 1994
4. Mr. Vic Milan of the Tubbataha Foundation, representing the non-governmental organizations.
   Term of office extended to 25 October 1994
5. Rev. Fr. Armando Limsa of NATRIPAL, Inc. representing the tribal communities
   Term of office extended to 20 November 1994
