RESOLUTION OF CONCURRENCE TO THE PLANS, PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS IN PALAWAN OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR CY 1993 PURSUANT TO SECTION 6 OF R.A 7611.

WHEREAS, R.A. 7611, otherwise known as the Strategic Environmental Plan (SEP) for Palawan Act, took effect on June 19, 1992 and Section 16 of said act provides that the governance, implementation and policy direction of the SEP shall be exercised by the Palawan Council For Sustainable Development (PCSD);R.A. 7611, otherwise known as the Strategic environmental Plan (SEP) for Palawan, took effect on June 19, 1992 and section 16 of said Act provides that the governance, implementation and policy direction of the SEP shall be exercised by the Palawan Council For Sustainable Development (PCSD), under the Office of the President;

WHEREAS, Section 6 of R.A 7611 also provides that the SEP shall serve as the framework to guide the government agencies concerned in the formulation and implementation of plans , programs and projects affecting the environment and natural resources of Palawan;

WHEREAS, the same section requires that all local government in Palawan and the concerned national and regional government agencies operating therein shall coordinate and align their projects and the corresponding budgets with the projects, programs and policies of the SEP, as administered and implemented by the aforementioned administrative machinery, the PCSD;

WHEREAS, the PCSD, in its tenth Council meeting held on 5 March 1993, reviewed the Plans, programs and projects of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in the province of Palawan as presented by Council Member Usec. Joemari D. Gerochi, & summary of the projects is hereto attached as Annex 1.

NOW THEREFORE, the Palawan Council For Sustainable Development resolves that after having been briefed on the CY 1993 plans programs and projects of the Department of Agriculture in the province of Palawan, the Council concurs to said plans, programs and projects subject to the presentation of the details of the plans and programs of the Bureau of Animal Industry;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the DA shall submit an annual report to the Palawan Council For Sustainable Development.
