PCSD RESOLUTION NO. 15-539

AUTHORIZING THE PCSDS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO OPEN A CHECKING ACCOUNT AT LAND BANK OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR ITS PROJECT ENTITLED “STRENGTHENING THE MPAS TO CONSERVE MARINE KEY BIODIVERSITY AREAS”

 

 

WHEREAS, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – National Fisheries and Research Development Institute (BFAR-NFRDI) is the executing agency of the project entitled:  STRENGTHENING THE MARINE PROTECTED AREAS (MPAS) TO CONSERVE MARINE KEY BIODIVERSITY AREAS, a project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)  that will be implemented in the municipalities of Aborlan, Narra, Brooke’s Point, Sofronio Espanola and Bataraza in the Province of Palawan;

 

WHEREAS, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) serves as an agency collaborator for project implementation in the Province of Palawan;

 

 

WHEREAS, recognizing the technical capability of the PCSD and the history of its coastal assessment activities, PCSDS was requested to conduct the coastal monitoring of identified MPA’s in the five project sites;

 

WHEREAS, to be able to perform the said monitoring, BFAR-NFRDI need to download project funds amounting to Php164,000.00, the initial allocation for 2015, in favor of PCSDS.

 

WHEREFORE, upon motion duly seconded, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved authorizing the PCSDS Executive Director, NELSON P. DEVANADERA, to open a checking account at Land Bank of the Philippines for the project entitled “Strengthening the MPAs to Conserve Marine Key Biodiversity Areas”;

 

RESOLVED FURTHER, that Director JOSEPHINE S. MATULAC be authorized as she is hereby authorized to be the co-signatory in the said checking account;

 

RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the UNDP–NFRDI and Land Bank of the Philippines for their information, guidance and reference.
