One Variable Monitor Lizard turned over to PCSDS

One Variable Monitor Lizard (𝘝𝘒𝘳𝘒𝘯𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘒𝘭𝘒𝘸𝘒𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘴π˜ͺ𝘴) was turned over by Mr. Christian Saulong of Barangay Tagumpay, Municipality of Coron, Palawan to the District Management Division – Calamian Office of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff on September 23, 2021.

Mr. Saulong, who works for PCBSI Port Terminal Management Corp in the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) of Coron and performs cargo reconciliation services, found the Variable Monitor Lizard wandering around the Coron port area on the same day. At around 5:51 PM on that day, he handed over the reptile to the PCSDS DMD Calamian office.
On September 24, 2021, the Variable Monitor Lizard, listed as β€œEndangered Species” under PCSD Resolution No. 15-521, was released back to its natural habitat.
