
One Palawan Hill Mynah locally known as βKiyawβ (ππ³π’π€πΆππ’ π³π¦ππͺπ¨πͺπ°π΄π’ π±π’ππ’πΈπ’π―π¦π―π΄πͺπ΄) was retrieved by the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS)-Enforcement team and PCSDS-Wildlife Species Habitat Section in Barangay Calumpang, Quezon, Palawan on July 8, 2021.
Said bird, which is allegedly owned by Mr. Norlan Alvarez of Barangay Calumpang, Quezon, Palawan, was found inside a cage along the highway of Barangay Calumpang by one of the PCSDS enforcers.
The Palawan Hill Mynah was seized by the PCSDS enforcement team and was brought to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC) for its rehabilitation on July 10, 2021.
The Palawan Hill Mynah is listed as “Critically Endangered species” under PCSD Resolution No. 15-521.
