One juvenile King Cobra (π˜–π˜±π˜©π˜ͺ𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘒𝘨𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘒𝘯𝘯𝘒𝘩) was turned over by Mr. Ernesto Del Mundo, Jr. and Mr. Weldie Cuescano, Jr. of Delta P Power Plant to the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) on July 8, 2021, at 2:30 PM.

Said snake, listed as β€œEndangered species” under PCSD Resolution 15-521, was found and caught by a housekeeper while tidying the stockroom of the administrative building of Delta P Power Plant in Barangay Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City. The housekeeper immediately reported the incident to Mr. Del Mundo, Jr. and Mr. Cuescano, Jr., the security officer and driver of Delta P Power Plant, who in turn went to the agency on the same day for the retrieval of the reptile. They were compelled to turn over the wildlife species as they knew how such action contributes to the protection of the threatened and endangered wildlife species in the province of Palawan.

The juvenile King Cobra was brought to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC) for its rehabilitation on July 8, 2021.
