One Crested Goshawk turned over to PCSDS

One Crested Goshawk (𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴), locally known as “Sakbit” was turned over to the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) by Mrs. Lolit Rodriguez of Purok New Princesa, Barangay Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City on August 25, 2021.

Said bird, listed as “Endangered Species” under the PCSD Resolution 15-521, was trapped in Mrs. Rodriguez’ backyard. She immediately contacted the PCSDS office for the retrieval of the bird.The PCSDS Enforcement team was dispatched at 8:40 AM the same day to rescue the bird.

The Crested Goshawk was brought to the Palawan Wildlife and Conservation Center (PWRCC) at around 9:00 AM.
