One Asian Leaf Turtle (๐˜Š๐˜บ๐˜ค๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜บ๐˜ด ๐˜ฅ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ข) was turned over by Ms. Catherine Joy B. Doguiles of Barangay Sicsican, Puerto Princesa City to the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) on July 2, 2021.

Said turtle was found on the same day by Ms. Doguiles, a teacher from Puerto Princesa Pilot Elementary School, in a drainage area in front of her house. She immediately reported the incident to the PCSDS via Facebook page for the retrieval of the turtle. She intended to turn over the turtle as the children in her area might play with the turtle and harm it in the process had she not found it first.

The Asian leaf Turtle is listed as a โ€œLower Riskโ€ species in the IUCN Red List.
