New Wildlife Enforcement Officers, Deputized

Twenty newly deputized Wildlife Enforcement Officers took oath in the presence of Vice Governor
Victorino Dennis M. Socrates, Vice Chairman of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development last
November 13, 2017 during the 238th regular meeting of the PCSD at the PCSD Building, Puerto Princesa
City.

Out of the twenty five personnel who participated and satisfactorily completed the 5-day Wildlife
Enforcement Officers Training Course last June 27 – July 1, 2017 and September 19 – 23, 2017 held at the
New City Hall Building, Puerto Princesa City and Roxas, Palawan, respectively. Participants of the said
training course came from the City of Puerto Princesa and the municipalities of Roxas and San Vicente.
Unfortunately, 5 of the 25 were not able to participate in the oath taking ceremony.

The new Wildlife Enforcement Officers shall be the main advocate in the PCSD’s thrust for the
protection of the environment. The new WEOs were deputized by the PCSD by virtue of RA 9147 or the
Wildlife Act.
