A deputation training for wildlife enforcement officers was conducted for the 30 members of the Nagkakaisang Tribo ng Palawan (NATRIPAL) in Barangay Bancao-Bancao, Puerto Princesa City.

The training, organized by the NATRIPAL on February 14-17, was participated by the Tagbanua Tribe from the Barangays of Iraan, Sagpangan ang Gugulngan of Aborlan town.

George Saragena of the PCSDS ECAN Education and Extension Division was invited as trainer.

Saragena discussed the Overview of Philippine Biodiversity; Wildlife Trading in Palawan and the Philippines; Legal Framework for Wildlife Enforcement in Palawan; the Environmentally Critical Areas Network (ECAN) as the main strategy of the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan Act; the laws and policies mandated to be implemented by the PCSD; and other technicalities entailed to the job of WEOs.
