HONING YOUNG MINDS ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

October 22 & 29, 2015 – As part of the culminating activity of the Ecological Field Trip of the Puerto Princesa Pilot Elementary School, more than 500 Science Club pupils participated in the information-education campaign conducted by the PCSD Staff upon the request of the said school at the Palawan Sustainable Development Training Institute in Irawan, Puerto Princesa City.

In five batches, the ECAN Education and Zero Carbon staff took the time to orient the Grades 5 and 6 pupils on the challenging role in the implementation of the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan, coastal-marine practices and initiatives and the Zero Carbon Resorts.

Visual aids and presentations engrossed the attention of the young minds on the fragility of Palawan’s ecosystem, environmental protection, coastal-marine conservation and the importance of utilizing technologies on renewable energy.
