The PCSDS, through its District Management Division (DMD)-Calamian, held a mangrove tree planting activity in Sitio Dinaydayan, Barangay Baldat, Culion, Palawan on June 24, 2022. The said activity was conducted still in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Strategic Environmental Plan for Palawan Act or the SEP Law.

Representatives from LGU-Culion, BLGU, BAFFA, FishRight, CFI, BFP, PNP, PPA, DENR-FPO, CGSS, SETIR, and other community volunteers zealously participated in the activity, which is part of the agency’s series of tree planting activities commemorating SEP’s 30th anniversary.

The agency continues to step up its efforts to advocate for the preservation and protection of Palawan’s mangrove ecosystems, which are crucial in assisting the province in adapting to climate change impacts, reducing the impact of storms and sea-level rise.

Let’s go green!
