The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) urges the public to remain vigilant in protecting Palawan’s wildlife and natural ecosystems.
The collection of wildlife eggs, disturbance of nesting grounds, and other unauthorized activities involving protected species, including the Tabon Scrubfowl (Megapodius cumingii), are strictly prohibited under Republic Act No. 9147 or the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act.
PCSDS emphasizes that conserving biodiversity is essential in maintaining ecological balance and safeguarding Palawan’s natural heritage. The public is encouraged to report any suspected wildlife-related violations to the appropriate authorities.
