A total of 1,491 board feet of Ipil and four (4) pieces of Bakaw were seized by the PCSDS Enforcement Team in Bgy. Nacpan and Bgy. Pasadeña, El Nido, Palawan on November 9, 2021.
Based on the apprehending team’s report, a total of 653 board feet of Ipil lumber were confiscated at 9:30 AM on November 9, 2021, from four (4) individuals who failed to present any permit and documents authorizing their possession of the said species in Bgy. Nacpan, El Nido, Palawan.
At 12:20 PM on the same day, a total of 838 board feet of Ipil lumber were also confiscated by the enforcement team in Sitio Lublob, Bgy. Pasadeña from an individual who also failed to show any permit allowing him to possess the said species.
Criminal and/or administrative charges will be filed against the said persons for violating Presidential Decree 705 or the Forestry Code and Republic Act 9147 or the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act.
