๐‘ช๐’–๐’๐’Š๐’๐’, ๐‘ท๐’‚๐’๐’‚๐’˜๐’‚๐’ โ”€ Organized by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) here, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) District Management Division (DMD)-Calamian participated in the municipal-wide clean-up drive on July 31.

Guided by the theme: โ€œBidang Pilipino: Building a Stronger Pilipino well-being towards disaster resilienceโ€, the clean-up activities were conducted by MDRRMO Culion in observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) specifically directed at the prevention of dengue mosquitoes therein.

It was also joined by representatives from the Local Government Units (LGU), Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Legislative Office, Municipalโ€™s vice-mayorโ€™s office. Furthermore, it was participated by Sangguniang Bayan and staff, Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office, Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and barangay officials.

Signed on June 28, 2017, Executive Order Number 29 mandates the annual observance of National Disaster Resilience Month “throughout the country [Philippines] through the conduct of activities relative to building of disaster resilience covering the four thematic areas: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and rehabilitation and recovery.”
