๐€๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’- The PCSDS DMD Calamian, in partnership with the PNP Maritime, joined forces to release a Hawksbill Turtle back into its natural habitat at Bali Beach, Barangay Tagumpay, Coron, Palawan.

The heartening event unfolded following the commendable action of a resident from Barangay Lajala, Coron, Palawan, who promptly turned over the endangered Hawksbill Turtle to the PNP Maritime.

Upon receiving the turtle, the PNP Maritime swiftly collaborated with PCSDS DMD Calamian to ensure the safe release of the Hawksbill Turtle back into the waters of Coron. Bali Beach, known for its pristine shores and rich marine life, provided the ideal environment for the turtle’s return to the sea.

Hawksbill Turtles, classified as โ€œCritically Endangeredโ€ under the PCSD Resolution No. 23-967 (unpublished), play a vital role in maintaining the health of coral reefs and marine ecosystems. Their conservation is crucial in safeguarding the biodiversity of Palawan’s coastal waters.
