𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧, 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒— In a joint operation, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) DMD Calamian Monitoring and Enforcement Team, in collaboration with the Philippine Coast Guard-Coron, intercepted illegal wildlife trade activities in Poblacion 3, Coron, Palawan.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of three live Loba for violating PCSD Administrative Order No. 5 and one live Susie, one live Champang, one live Paeng, 32 pieces of live Seamantis, 11 pieces of live red Lobster, and one live tiger Lobster for violating PCSD Administrative Order No. 12.

In adherence to conservation efforts, the confiscated species were promptly released back into their natural habitat at Siete Pecados Marine Protected Area on the same day. This action was conducted in close coordination with the Siete Pecados Marine Protected Area Management Board, facilitated by Mr. Jojo Mazo, and with the assistance of the Philippine Coast Guard-Coron.

The joint effort between PCSDS DMD Calamian and the Philippine Coast Guard underscores their commitment to enforcing wildlife protection laws and regulations, ensuring the preservation of Palawan’s rich biodiversity.
