𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 join the rest the Philippines in observing the 𝟏𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲, pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, series of 1997, declaring the month of September as the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡.
As a tribute and celebratory gesture for it, the PCSDS will be holding a series of activities in line its overarching 10-year theme since 2021: “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” which is, as follows:
* Week 1: Linggo ng Lingkod Bayani.
* Week 2: Linggo ng Paglilinang ng Yamang Tao.
* Week 3: Linggo ng Malasakit (sa kalikasan).
* Week 4: Linggo ng Pasasalamat.
Through Public Law No. 5, which is an Act for the establishment and maintenance of the efficient and honest civil service in the Philippine Island, effectuated in 1900 by the Second Philippine Commission under the first Philippine President Hon. Emilio Aguinaldo, the civil service system was formally established in the country.
