๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ข ๐๐๐ซ๐ค, ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐๐ง; ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐-PCSDS, with assistance from the PNP Maritime Group Coron Station and coordination with the Provincial Government of Palawan, facilitated the turnover of two endangered species to Calauit Safari Park.
A Reticulated Python and a Palawan Bearded Pig were officially handed over to the park. These species are listed under PCSD Resolution No. 15-521 as โEndangered Speciesโ.
The relocation of these animals to Calauit Safari Park ensures they receive proper care and contribute to ongoing conservation efforts in Palawan. The PCSDS, local authorities, and the community play vital roles in protecting the region’s biodiversity.
The PCSDS encourages fellow citizens who happen to encounter any live wildlife to leave them alone in their natural habitat. However, if said animal is under or poses immediate risk, only then could they be turned over to our office or seek assistance by calling our hotlines: PCSDS Wildlife Enforcement Unit (WEU) at 09319642128 (TNT) and 09656620248 (TM), or the PCSDS Front Desk hotline at 0935-116-2336 (Globe/TM) and 0948-937-2200 (Smart/TNT). Concerned individuals may also reach out through the PCSDS Facebook page for further assistance or inquiries.
