On September 27, 2024, the PCSDS attended and participated in the Puerto Princesa City Green Justice Zone (PPCGJZ) Consultative Meeting and Workshop at the Citystate Asturias, Puerto Princesa City.

The objective of the workshop is to provide a common solution to particular problems or issues on evidence management and involve some form of applicable restructuring. The participating agencies include the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), PNP maritime group, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), DENR-PENRO/CENRO, BJMP, Bureau of Customs (BOC), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), Palawan State University School of Law (PalSu-SOL), Environmental Legal Assistance Center (ELAC), the Office of the City Prosecutor, the Public Attorneyโ€™s Office (PAO), and members of the Judiciary.

Issues and proposed solutions arising from management of evidence, specifically on custody, release, and forfeiture of confiscated effects, implements and instruments of the offense, were discussed. Each agency identified the relevant laws, rules, regulations, and administrative issuance regarding their agencyโ€™s management of evidence.
