Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) Executive Director Atty. Teodoroย  Jose S. Matta entered and signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), for and on behalf of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) represented by its Executive Director Atty. Matthew M. David.ย 

This act signifies the adherence and commitment to the implementation of Section 3(i) of the Republic Act No. 9160 (Anti-Money and Laundering Act of 2001 or AMLA), as amended by Republic Act No. 10365 (An Act Further Strengthening the Anti-Money Laundering Law, Amending for the Purpose RA 9160), and the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 10168 (Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012 or TFPSA). Furthermore, the MOA embodied the AMLC and PCSDโ€™s desire, in the spirit of cooperation and mutual interest, to facilitate the investigation and prosecution of persons suspected of money laundering, unlawful activities under the aforementioned laws. 

Through the MOA, the AMLC and PCSD shall promote and encourage cooperation and coordination to effectively prevent, control, detect, investigate and prosecute unlawful activities under Section 3(i) of AMLA, as amended, and the TFPSA, as well as money laundering and terrorism financing activities arising therefrom.
