𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥

Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) Executive Director Atty. Teodoro  Jose S. Matta entered and signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), for and on behalf of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD), with the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) represented by its Executive Director Atty. Matthew M. David. 

This act signifies the adherence and commitment to the implementation of Section 3(i) of the Republic Act No. 9160 (Anti-Money and Laundering Act of 2001 or AMLA), as amended by Republic Act No. 10365 (An Act Further Strengthening the Anti-Money Laundering Law, Amending for the Purpose RA 9160), and the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 10168 (Terrorism Financing Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012 or TFPSA). Furthermore, the MOA embodied the AMLC and PCSD’s desire, in the spirit of cooperation and mutual interest, to facilitate the investigation and prosecution of persons suspected of money laundering, unlawful activities under the aforementioned laws. 

Through the MOA, the AMLC and PCSD shall promote and encourage cooperation and coordination to effectively prevent, control, detect, investigate and prosecute unlawful activities under Section 3(i) of AMLA, as amended, and the TFPSA, as well as money laundering and terrorism financing activities arising therefrom.
