
PCSD Staff Ma. Christina D. Rodriguez, Whendy V. Orlido-Ducao, Cherry Lyn S. Jalover-Par, and Ma. Chari Le Janne S. Cantara successfully completed the rigorous training program on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) provided by the Development Academy of the Philippines as part of the Anti-Red Tape Authorityโs Phase VI: Capability Development on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) Project.

The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development was identified as a priority agency by ARTA to undergo the said course to equip the agency through its staff with the necessary tools and lenses in conducting RIA prior to implementation of regulations and review of existing ones. The training program which spanned over a period of four (4) months was concluded on December 3, 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City during the 3rd Annual ENRICH: Empowering Next-Generation RIA Champions.
Under Republic Act 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, all proposed regulations of government agencies that provide services covering business and non-business related transactions shall undergo regulatory impact assessment to establish if the proposed regulation does not add undue regulatory burden and cost to these agencies and the applicants or requesting parties.
