To reduce the amount of documents and records which have accumulated over the years in the agency but are no longer of any value and use, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) has conducted a disposal of valueless records at the Palawan Sustainable Development Institute (Motorpool) yesterday, April 13.
Spearheaded by PCSDS Records Management and Improvement Committee and facilitated by the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) through its Record Management Analyst II Ms. Wendy H. Sacramed, along with some representatives from DโLacoste Enterprise, the official buyer of NAP, the aforementioned disposal activity was attended by representatives from each division of the agency and PCSDS record custodians, to ensure that the proceedings of the disposal were in accordance with the rules and regulations on proper management and disposal of public records; as reflected in the NAP General Circular 1 and 2, and general records disposition schedule.
The said event was also witnessed by the Commission on Audit (COA) Staff.
