On July 17-21, 2023, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) District Management Division (DMD)-North conducted a key informant interview (KII) on Reef Fish for Food (RFF) collectors in Bgy. Liminangcong and Bgy.Tumbod in Taytay, Palawan.
Under the Wildlife Management Fund (WMF) Project entitled โEnhanced Monitoring of RFF Species,โ the KII activity aimed to collect species data to better understand the nature of RFF, its population growth and number, and its behavior, by interviewing up-close-and-personal the RFF collectors who have first-hand knowledge and experience of these economically important species. The KII will be instrumental and pivotal in strengthening RFF conservation and protection policies, marine spatial planning, and fishery management in the municipality.
It was also made possible in coordination with the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Taytay.
