As the primary implementer of environmental projects and initiatives that further heighten the awareness of the Palaweรฑos of the Strategic Environmental Plan (SEP) for Palawan Act or Republic Act No. 7611 and its significance in reaching sustainable development in Palawan, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) is currently attending a virtual Project Management Training (PMT) organized by the European Union Global Diaspora Facility (EuDIF), which started on July 17 until today, July 21. This is part of the third module of the EUDiF action with PCSDS in Palawan and a follow-on activity to the training on Project Proposal Development held last April 2023.
Funded by the European Union, in collaboration with International Centre for Migration Policy Development, the activity seeks to capacitate the participants on environmental sustainability and climate adaptation in Palawan through effective implementation of environmental projects and partnerships in the region.
The five-day training-workshop, led by Philippine Business for Education Executive Director Ms. Love Basillote, covers Project Management and its Relevance to Environmental Protection; Effective Project Planning and Execution for Sustainable Outcomes; Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) for Project Success; Closing Projects with Impact; and Applying Project Management Tools in Real-World Scenarios, among others.
It is also being virtually attended by representatives from different local government units in the province.
