
Weighing 5.25 kg, an adult female Palawan Pangolin (๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ช๐ด ๐ค๐ถ๐ญ๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ด๐ช๐ด), locally known as โBalintongโ, was turned over to Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) by Mr. Larry Dela Cruz of Brgy. Sicsican, on November 23 at 4:30 pm. It was said that the critically endangered animal was seen by Mr. Dela Cruz in the canal in front of JS Wilcon Builders and Trading, Barangay Sicsican and immediately surrendered it to PCSDS.
The Palawan Pangolin is listed as a โCritically Endangered Speciesโ under PCSD Resolution No. 15-521 and CITES listed under Appendix I.
