𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓, 𝑷𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒌 𝑳𝒊𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒘𝒂𝒚, 𝑩𝒈𝒚. 𝑷𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂-𝑩𝒂𝒋𝒂, 𝑹𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒍, 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏– From July 19-21, 2023, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) ECAN Education and Extension Division (EEED), in coordination with PCSDS District Management Division (DMD)- South, is currently conducting the “Capability Enhancement Activity” here.

To heighten the knowledge and skills of the participants on the provisions of Strategic Environmental Plan (SEP) Law, specifically on Republic Act No. 9175 or Chainsaw Act; RA 9147 or Wildlife Conservation Act; PCSDS Administrative Order No. 11 or the “Rules and Regulations Governing the Conservation and Protection of Mangrove Areas,”; and Orientation on Sustainable Development Goals Number 14 and 15: Life Below Water and Life on Land, PCSDS is conducting a three-day series of interactive activities for the members of the municipal and barangay council, ECAN Board members, and Sangguniang Bayan for it.

The event is the offshoot of the Training Needs Assessment (TNA) conducted in December 2022 by PCSDS in Bgy. Candawaga, Rizal, which revealed which aspect of PCSD laws and policies is needed to be reinforced and prioritized for greater awareness in the municipality of Rizal.
