The event included a special tour at the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (PWRCC) for selected students from Francisco Ubay Memorial Elementary School and Tagumpay Elementary School. The students were given the opportunity to explore the center and learn about the conservation efforts in place.
Throughout the day, various activities were conducted to foster environmental awareness. The discussions covered important topics such as Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate Action, Sustainable Development Goal 14 – Life Below Water, Gender and Development Awareness (GAD), and Understanding Water Quality.
To enhance the learning experience, the students engaged ina hands-on activity at the PCSDS Laboratory, where they had the chance to measure the pH level of selected water samples.
As a result of their participation, the students became official members of the Kiddie and Youth Wildlife Savers Club 2023 that signifies their early commitment to wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship.
