Participated by different government and public organizations here, the event provided an avenue for the training of researchers and environmental conservation planners and practitioners in Palawan, for them to learn more about the core knowledge and application of satellite imagery in monitoring the Philippines coasts through basic remote-sensing theories, imagery processing, calibration, validation, and time-series change assessment with Google Earth Engine.

Notable personalities who graced the event were Mr. David Lagomasino, East Carolina, USAID Fish Right Program; Mr. J.P. Walsh, Director, Coastal Resources Center, University of Rhode Island, USAID Fish Right Program; and Mr. Nygiel B. Armada, Chief of Party, USAID Fish Right Program, University of Rhode Island.

It was also attended by representatives from the Western Philippines University (WPU), University of the Philippines – Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines – Department of Geodetic Engineering, University of the Philippines – Institute of Biology, De La Salle University, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), City Government of Puerto Princesa, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Philippine Space Agency, University of Rhode Island, and PATH Foundation Philippines, Inc. #PCSDNews #PCSDUpdates

Walsh, Direktor, Coastal Resources Center, University of Rhode Island, USAID Fish Right Program; and G. Nygiel B. Armada, Chief of Party, USAID Fish Right Program, University of Rhode Island.

Dinaluhan din ito ng mga representante mula sa Western Philippines University (WPU), University of the Philippines – Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines – Department of Geodetic Engineering, University of the Philippines – Institute of Biology, De La Salle University, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), City Government of Puerto Princesa, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Philippine Space Agency, University of Rhode Island, and PATH Foundation Philippines, Inc.
