๐๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ง, ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐๐ง – As part of the observance of National Resilience Month this July, the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) participated in the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officeโs Anti-Dengue Clean Up Drive on July 22. This joint effort involved several concerned national government agencies and local government units in the municipality, collectively working to combat the threat of dengue.
The PCSDS supported the event by a thorough cleaning and organization of the DMD-Calamian Office. By ensuring a clean and mosquito free environment, the office would not serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes carrying the dengue virus, contributing to the overall prevention and control of the disease while also safeguarding public health and well-being.
Signed on June 28, 2017, Executive Order Number 29 mandates the annual observance of National Disaster Resilience Month “throughout the country [Philippines] through the conduct of activities relative to building of disaster resilience covering the four thematic areas: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and rehabilitation and recovery.”
