𝐏𝐂𝐒𝐃𝐒-𝐃𝐌𝐃 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐲-𝐆𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧

𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧; 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 – PCSDS-DMD Calamian served as a resource speaker for the Bantay-Gubat Training. This training session, which took place on June 6, 2024, was organized by the Calamianes Resilience Network in collaboration with the DENR-CENRO Coron.

The Bantay-Gubat Training aims to equip forest rangers and local community members with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively protect and manage forest resources. During the event, the PCSDS delivered a comprehensive presentation on the mandates of the PCSD, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development in Palawan. Key environmental legislations were highlighted during the session, including the Chainsaw Act and the Wildlife Act.

The collaboration between PCSDS, the Calamianes Resilience Network, and DENR-CENRO Coron underscores the shared commitment to safeguarding Palawan’s rich biodiversity. This initiative is a crucial part of broader efforts to empower local communities to take an active role in environmental stewardship.
