𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧; 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟎𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒— PCSDS-DMD Calamian played a crucial role as a resource speaker at the Environmental Youth Action Camp 2024 held at Darayunan Lodge. This significant event was organized for Out-of-School Youth beneficiaries from various Marine Protected Areas in Coron, Palawan, under the auspices of Malampaya Foundation, Inc.

The three-day camp, which ran from June 3 to June 5, 2024, was themed “Shaping the Future through Youth Environmental Education.” It aimed to empower young people with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect and conserve the environment.

PCSD Calamian staff delivered an informative session on the Wildlife Conservation and Protection Act, or Republic Act 9147, as part of the camp’s environmental education curriculum. This act is crucial in preserving the rich biodiversity of Palawan, known as the Philippines’ last ecological frontier.
