In a collaborative effort between the PCSDS DMD Calamian and the PATH Foundation, a webinar was conducted in Coron, Palawan, shedding light on critical biodiversity threats in the province. Ms. Micah Balbon-Losauro, representing PCSDS, served as the resource speaker for the event.
The webinar, held on March 26, 2024, via Zoom, saw the active participation of second-year students from the Palawan State University Coron Campus. Ms. Balbon-Losauro’s expertise in environmental conservation and sustainable development provided valuable insights into the challenges facing the province’s biodiversity.
During her presentation, Ms. Balbon-Losauro delved into the various threats endangering Palawan’s rich biodiversity. These include habitat destruction, illegal wildlife trade, climate change, and pollution, among others.
