𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧, 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 — The Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) DMD Calamian participated in a crucial workshop focusing on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Climate Change Adaptation, held at Soleil Garden in Barangay Poblacion 6, Coron, Palawan.
Led by the Forest Foundation Philippines in collaboration with Bayi, Inc., the workshop served as a platform for stakeholders from various sectors, including People’s Organizations (POs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), and the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines.
The event, titled “Philippines-Canada Partnership on NbS for Climate Change Adaptation (PCP4NbS),” aimed to gather essential information and data for the implementation of the Philippine Forest Foundation’s project on Nature-based Solutions for Climate Adaptation in the Calamianes region.
Participants engaged in discussions and shared insights on effective strategies and best practices in utilizing nature-based solutions to address the impacts of climate change. The presence of the Canada Embassy highlighted the significance of international collaboration in tackling environmental challenges.
The PCSDS DMD Calamian’s involvement underscores its commitment to advancing sustainable development and environmental conservation efforts in the region.
