Christina D. Rodriguez, participated in the โ1st Responsible Seafood Summit Towards A New Era of Better Seafood Philippinesโ on September 14.
Ms. Rodriguez underwent a series of intensive discussions on the status and challenges besetting the international seafood supply chains, and the efforts being undertaken to resolve it. As an event convening change-makers in the fishing economy, she also became a witness to sustainable fishing community stories, and to interactive technical workshops embodying it. As such, this is significant for PCSDS in its fisheries management in Palawan.
Aside from PCSDS, it was also attended by representatives from USAID Philippines, the Philippine government, private sector seafood industry, local government units (LGUs), community-based organizations, USAID implementing partners, and other sectors across the country. It was organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Fish Right.
