
๐ฅ๐๐ฑ๐โ๐ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป โ On August 16, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff (PCSDS) District Management Division (DMD)- Calamian attended the Calamianes Resilience Network Inc. (CRN) stakeholdersโ meeting for the project orientation on “Increasing Capacity of Calamianes Watershed towards Resilience โ Phase 2” funded by the Forest Foundation Philippines (FFP) for Mabentangen Dam, Bgy. Poblacion 6.
The meeting became a means for insightful discussions on the projectโs objectives in the area, such as establishing a functional watershed committee; protecting biodiversity and promoting a healthy ecosystem through stringent law enforcement; enhancing community resilience through sustainable livelihoods; and appointing Bantay Gubat and Wildlife Enforcement Officers.
Aside from PCSDS, the event was also attended by representatives from various government and non-government agencies/sectors, including PATH Foundation Philippines Inc. (PFPI), Culion Foundation Inc. (CFI), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), DENR-CENRO, DEPEd, and Palawan State University โ Coron Campus.
The first phase of the project began in San Miguel, Linapacan, Palawan in 2022.

Tinalakay sa pagpupulong ang mga layunin sa pagsasakatuparan ng nasabing proyekto, katulad ng paglikha ng isang functional watershed committee; pagpapalawig sa pagprotekta ng biodiversity ng lugar, at paglinang sa ekosistema sa pamamagitan ng striktong pagpapatupad ng mga batas pangkalikasan; kasama ang pagkakaroon ng matibay na komunidad na may tuloy-tuloy na hanap-buhay, at pagtatalaga ng deputized Bantay Gubat and Wildlife Enforcement Officers dito.
Dinaluhan din ng ibaโt ibang representante mula sa gobyerno at pribadong sektor, katulad ng PATH Foundation Philippines Inc. (PFPI), Culion Foundation Inc. (CFI), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), DENR-CENRO, DEPEd, at Palawan State University โ Coron Campus, ang nasabing pagpupulong.
