๐๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ง, ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฐ๐๐ง; ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐ – – In a collaborative effort to combat wildlife trafficking, the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) under the Department of Transportation (DOTr), led by Terminal Chief Mark Anthony Manlavi, turned over approximately 20 kilograms of confiscated Giant Clams (๐ป๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐) to the PCSDS District Management Division Calamian.
The confiscated Giant Clams were originally in the possession of a passenger on an aircraft at Busuanga Airport and were subsequently placed in the custody of the Coron District Management Office. The turnover was facilitated by the Wildlife Trafficking and Monitoring Officer in conjunction with the DMD Calamian Monitoring and Enforcement Section.
The Giant Clam is listed as an โEndangeredโ species under PCSD Resolution 23-967.
